The GFI creatively designs classes that are safe for participants including proper use of equipment and movement. Administrative duties include timely communication with the supervisor and participants, keeping participant counts and maintain knowledge of current industry standards. Nationally recognized certifications are recommended such as Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), American Council on Exercise (ACE), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or another reputable organization.
BW, Personal Trainer-Certified Personal Training
This is a position in which the Personal Trainer is expected to actively participate in the development and implementation of safe, effective and enjoyable fitness routines. The Personal Trainer ensures the safe and proper use of all equipment involved. Administrative duties such as keeping track of client sessions are required. Nationally recognized certifications must be obtained within one year of hire from the following organizations: American Council on Exercise (ACE) and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
