Preschool Teacher Communications
Butler Early Language & Literature The Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) Department at Butler University is searching for a part-time qualified preschool teacher for children in the Butler Early Language & Literacy (BELL) Program, starting in the Fall of 2024. BELL is appropriate for children ages 3 – 5 years who have speech and language delays as well as for typically developing children. The purpose of BELL is to provide a language and literacy-rich learning environment so that these children enter Kindergarten positioned for success in learning to read. BELL provides a structured environment that focuses on communication and early literacy skills that are important for later academic success. BELL uses art, music, and animals to encourage verbal expression and provide enjoyment and interest for the children. Enrollment is limited to 10 – 12 children. In addition to preparing preschool children for success in communication and early literacy, BELL also provides a valuable educational experience for SLHS students.
Administrative Assistant, Diversity Center (Part-Time) Efroymson Diversity Center
The Administrative Assistant of the Efroymson Diversity Center (Butler University) is a pivotal role within the Division of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion to ensure that operations, logistics, communication, and support for many key stakeholders all remain strong and consistent. The Administrative Assistant is a supportive contributor to the execution of the tasks and goals of the Efroymson Diversity Center. Head of Resource & Systems Strategies Library Collections
Butler University Libraries seeks a new Head of Resource & Systems Strategies to provide leadership and vision for the Resource Strategies department, including Acquisitions, Interlibrary Loan, Electronic Resources, Collection Management, and Scholarly Communication. One of four Department Heads reporting to the Dean of Libraries, this position has primary responsibility for the Libraries’ work to provide access to content and collections in support of the academic and student community, oversight of most library systems and technology platforms, including advocacy of the user experience and accessibility of online public interfaces, as well as resource sharing and publishing.

Facilities Service Tech I Operations
Under direct supervision of the T.E.M.P. shop supervisor, performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance duties in a variety of trade areas that may include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, data communication, fire alarms, campus utilities, building automations systems, swimming pool operations, preventative maintenance, and event staffing. Assignments may include service/diagnosis, repair/replace, new install, preventive maintenance, construction of some minor projects, or other trades based on knowledge and skill level.
General Maintenance Worker Operations
Under general direction of the Structures Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker repairs cabinets, counters, shelves, tables and miscellaneous furniture; replaces and repairs doors, closures and locks; alters and repairs a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, windows and frames, stairways, masonry and roofs. Installs window glass and screens, applies wall and floor covering materials in addition to installing and repairing ceramic and other types of tile. May make routine electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs when that work is integral to the repairs or installation. Helps guide the work of less experienced workers.
