Administrative Assistant, Diversity Center (Part-Time) Efroymson Diversity Center
The Administrative Assistant of the Efroymson Diversity Center (Butler University) is a pivotal role within the Division of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion to ensure that operations, logistics, communication, and support for many key stakeholders all remain strong and consistent. The Administrative Assistant is a supportive contributor to the execution of the tasks and goals of the Efroymson Diversity Center. This role manages and organizes the day to day logistical operations of the department through greeting, tracking, evaluating, recording/reporting, and inventorying. This internal-facing professional connects with the department/division staff teams to ensure successful outcomes toward our established goals. The Administrative Assistant oversees the process-oriented functions of the Efroymson Diversity Center including, but not limited to the payment of vendors, producing necessary contracts, tracking student engagement, providing tours of the center to visitors, and responding to inquiries.
Sports Programs Intern, Recreation & Wellness HRC Operations
The Sport Programs Intern will assist the Assistant Director of Sports Programs in the administration and management of all operational and programming aspects of a comprehensive intramural sports program as well as in the administration of student-run sport clubs. Some of the responsibilities will include supervising, training, scheduling, and evaluating student staff, leadership development, risk management, facility and event management, administrative support, maintenance of records, and communication/collaboration with student, university, and community organizations and individuals.
Network and Infrastructure Systems Analyst Information Technology Exec
Butler University’s Information Technology department is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Infrastructure Systems Analyst who is eager to join a team that values education, collaboration, innovation, and fun. The Analyst will be involved with Butler’s enterprise infrastructure technology at all levels, including virtualized compute environment, backup and storage systems, wired and wireless networks, and associated applications.
Facilities Service Tech I Operations
Under direct supervision of the T.E.M.P. shop supervisor, performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance duties in a variety of trade areas that may include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, data communication, fire alarms, campus utilities, building automations systems, swimming pool operations, preventative maintenance, and event staffing. Assignments may include service/diagnosis, repair/replace, new install, preventive maintenance, construction of some minor projects, or other trades based on knowledge and skill level.
General Maintenance Worker Operations
Under general direction of the Structures Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker repairs cabinets, counters, shelves, tables and miscellaneous furniture; replaces and repairs doors, closures and locks; alters and repairs a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, windows and frames, stairways, masonry and roofs. Installs window glass and screens, applies wall and floor covering materials in addition to installing and repairing ceramic and other types of tile. May make routine electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs when that work is integral to the repairs or installation. Helps guide the work of less experienced workers.
Assistant Professor of Business Law LSB - Gifts
The Lacy School of Business at Butler University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Business Law. We are especially interested in applicants with a strong focus on business transactions and intellectual property. The position start date is August 2024, and the standard teaching load is nine credit hours per semester with release time made available based on research productivity. A willingness and ability to teach online is also expected. We welcome applicants with prior experience to apply.
