The Lacy School of Business at Butler University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Accounting. We are especially interested in applicants with a strong focus on Auditing. The position start date is August 2024, and the standard teaching load is nine credit hours per semester with release time made available based on research productivity. A willingness and ability to teach online is also expected. We welcome applicants with prior experience to apply.
Lecturer and Foundational Course Director in the Pulliam School of Journalism and Creative Media Journalism
The Eugene S. Pulliam School of Journalism and Creative Media in the College of Communication at Butler University invites applications for a nine-month Lecturer in the Critical Communication and Media Studies (CCM) major with an expected start date of August 2024. The position is a three-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will also serve as the College of Communication Foundational Course Director who will oversee college required courses including a public speaking course COM 101 (Rhetoric and the American Democratic Tradition), COM 215 (Speech for Business, which is required of all majors in the Lacy School of Business), and SW 266 (Media Literacy). The successful candidate will teach these courses and classes in the CCM major including courses in their area of expertise from an inclusive pedagogical perspective. The typical teaching load at Butler University is 12 credit hours a semester, and this position will come with three credits of release each semester for serving in the role of Foundational Course Director.
Groundskeeper Campus Grounds
Butler University seeks a groundskeeper for our Indianapolis campus. The Groundskeeper role is a necessary position in the operations department to maintain and keep the campus grounds in order.
General Maintenance Worker Operations
Under general direction of the Structures Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker repairs cabinets, counters, shelves, tables and miscellaneous furniture; replaces and repairs doors, closures and locks; alters and repairs a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, windows and frames, stairways, masonry and roofs. Installs window glass and screens, applies wall and floor covering materials in addition to installing and repairing ceramic and other types of tile. May make routine electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs when that work is integral to the repairs or installation. Helps guide the work of less experienced workers.
