Position Overview

The Equipment and Operations Assistant will organize, provide and maintain uniforms and equipment to all Butler Athletes and to provide other athletic services as needed. This is a temporary role. 

  • Provide reliable support to assistant equipment manager to successfully manage the day-to-day operations of the equipment room for Butler Athletic teams and student-athletes through reliable and effective communication.
  • Serve as primary football equipment manager, while collaboratively manage all equipment operations for the daily needs of football program, including travel with team during season and providing daily support at practices throughout season.
  • Use allocated resources efficiently to successfully support the management of the Equipment Room and football equipment budgets.
  • Support assistant equipment manager to provide leadership, train and supervise all staff in equipment room.
  • Manage the annual safety of equipment through annual reconditioning and replacement and evaluate athletic vehicles and maintenance program.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in athletics equipment operations
  • Possess strong organizational skills to multi task and problem solve
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a diverse atmosphere
