Position Overview

The Athletics Assistant - Ticketing assists Butler Athletics with the day-to-day responsibilities within External Operations with a goal of providing the best possible experience for student-athletes and fans. This role has a primary focus on ticket sales, service and operations. This is a part-time role. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager of Tickets and Fan Development with season, single game and group ticket sales for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, football and volleyball. 
  • Serve as a primary connection to fans through all forms of communication, most notably at our physical ticket office at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
  • Work closely with Internal Operations staff members to successfully run and operate ticket sales, service and will call at home games and the occasional road or neutral site event. 
  • Learn and utilize the TicketMaster Archtics system, as well as other technology programs and applications to help our fans.  

Required Qualifications 

  • BS degree and 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task/manage several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, strategic-thinking skills; willingness to take initiative and learn
  • Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills along with strong customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, collaboratively and within a team structure
  • Proficiency in office software systems such as: MS Word, Office, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Maintain confidentiality and attention to detail
