Responsibilities to the Mission:   

  • Provide daily care and upkeep of campus grounds to include planting, seeding, fertilizing, aerating, mowing, pruning, irrigation, and leaf removal
  • Assist in snow removal, clean streets and sidewalks, collect and dispose of trash
  • Perform minor/preventive maintenance on grounds equipment as needed
  • Install signage
  • Maintain trash control and recycling
  • Set up for university events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Competencies Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • About 2 years of experience 
  • Must be physically able to work outside year round
  • Evidence of stable work history and dependability
  • Prior experience in grounds work desired
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Must be able to work overtime or on-call as required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or with a team
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry 10 feet
