The College of Education (COE) at Butler University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month tenure track faculty position with an expected start date of August 2024. The successful candidate will teach courses and engage in scholarship in the area of literacy education, particularly as it relates to educator preparation and community engagement. The Lacy School of Business at Butler University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Accounting. We are especially interested in applicants with a strong focus on Auditing. Also, being able to teach Information Systems and/or Managerial Accounting is a plus. The position start date is August 2024, and the standard teaching load is nine credit hours per semester with release time made available based on research productivity. Electronic Resources Librarian Library Collections
Butler University Libraries invite applications for an Electronic Resources Librarian, a 12-month, non-tenured (continuing appointment) position with the rank of assistant professor, reporting to the Head of Resource and Systems Strategies. This position provides leadership for the acquisition, support and analysis of electronic resources at Butler University Libraries, including managing and prioritizing expenditures on subscriptions and purchases of electronic content, as well as managing discovery and mediation of content in other acquisition models. The librarian in this position communicates to and supports library faculty in their selection and use of electronic resources, troubleshoots user access problems, and provides guidance or training to students and faculty as necessary. This position also manages all required e-resource information and management systems, and has additional responsibilities for the management of print serial subscriptions. As a library faculty member, the Electronic Resources Librarian also has liaison responsibilities to provide library instruction, collection development, and research support for a selected college or department(s).
Groundskeeper Campus Grounds
Butler University seeks a groundskeeper for our Indianapolis campus. The Groundskeeper role is a necessary position in the operations department to maintain and keep the campus grounds in order.
General Maintenance Worker Operations
Under general direction of the Structures Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker repairs cabinets, counters, shelves, tables and miscellaneous furniture; replaces and repairs doors, closures and locks; alters and repairs a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, windows and frames, stairways, masonry and roofs. Installs window glass and screens, applies wall and floor covering materials in addition to installing and repairing ceramic and other types of tile. May make routine electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs when that work is integral to the repairs or installation. Helps guide the work of less experienced workers.
