Administrative Specialist for Student Success, Academic Affairs Academic Affairs seeks an Administrative Specialist to provide primary administrative support for the Center for Academic Success and Exploration (CASE) and programs directly linked to student success and support. Duties include, but are not limited to, monitoring CASE budgets, email, and phone calls; overseeing student workers, including assisting the tutor coordinator as needed; and managing CASE calendars, office supplies, and activities in the Student Success Center (Jordan Hall 109 suite). Assistant Director of the Center For Urban Ecology and Sustainability Provost Office
This position will spend roughly 60% of their time on university-wide coordination of sustainability initiatives, 30% on CUES student internship coordination and teaching, and 10% working with the CUES Director on strategic development of CUES programs. We seek applicants who share our passion for creative solutions to issues related to campus sustainability, urban ecology, sustainable cities, and social justice. Butler University is a signatory of the Second Nature Carbon Commitment and has a silver rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System (STARS). Senior Information Systems Analyst (PeopleSoft Financial Solution Developer) Information Technology Exec
The Senior Systems Analyst will perform implementation, training, documentation, support, and maintenance for Butler core systems including, but not limited to, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Oracle Student Financial Planning, and College Scheduler. This position also creates and manages Campus Solutions Integration Broker interfaces with various other systems both within PeopleSoft and third party vendors. He/she is responsible for providing support in a healthy, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective manner focusing on the business value. The Senior Information System Analyst will serve as a resource to functional areas to analyze and recommend business solutions to solve complex university needs. This position will provide leadership by anticipating and planning upgrades and implementations and is responsible for ensuring all change control and documentation policies are followed. The Senior Information System Analyst will work to support and implement integration strategies between the systems they support and Butler's data analytics, reporting and visualization solutions to insure the appropriate information is easily available to meet university needs.
Sr. IT Project Manager Information Technology Exec
Senior Project Managers are often given large high-priority projects and are asked to work as a part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. The Senior Project Manager is responsible to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific projects they are working on. The Senior Project Manager role coordinates Butler University resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects and it is their responsibility to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope and budget. Leadership, time management, budgeting, and analytical skills are all required for this position. Project Managers often work closely with Business Relationship Managers, IT management and partner executives to make sure that the project progresses on schedule and delivers the stated business value to the University. Senior Project Managers also help train and mentor other Butler Project Managers.
Information Commons Associate - Irwin Library Library Collections
Butler University seeks an Information Commons Associate to oversee the evening operations of the Information Commons desk at Irwin Library. This position staffs the desk and provides circulation and basic references services; they oversee the safety of the building’s resources and occupants. The Information Commons Associate is a resource for Information Commons student assistants, who staff the desk, concerning policies and procedures. The position performs processing tasks related to reserves, researching captioning requests against the libraries’ databases for faculty teaching, and manages circulation services such as overdue billing. This position serves as the singular Butler employee responsible for the building and its services during Sunday evening and Monday-Thursday weeknight hours.
CFV Jewish Life Advisor Center for Faith and Vocation
Butler University’s Center for Faith and Vocation seeks an energetic, innovative, and relationship-oriented Jewish Life Advisor. General Maintenance Worker Level 3 Operations
Under general direction of the Structures Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker Level 3 repairs cabinets, counters, shelves, tables and miscellaneous furniture; replaces and repairs doors, closures and locks; alters and repairs a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, windows and frames, stairways, masonry and roofs. Installs window glass and screens, applies wall and floor covering materials in addition to installing and repairing ceramic and other types of tile. May make routine electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs when that work is integral to the repairs or installation. Helps guide the work of less experienced workers.

Building Services Lead Operations
Assist and provide daily supervision for up to 20 building services employees at any given time. Plan, schedule and coordinate assignments for building services staff engaged in maintenance and general housekeeping of university buildings. Determine priorities and adjust schedules as necessary. Ensure that the daily operation goals are met each day.
Assistant or Associate Professor in Astronomy and Astrophysics (Tenure-Track) Physics and Astronomy
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Butler University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Astronomy and Astrophysics, at the Assistant or Associate professor level (initially without tenure) with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2023.
