The Departments of Chemistry & Biochemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences at Butler University are seeking a new full-time technical laboratory staff member to start August 1, 2023. Educational requirements are a degree in biochemistry or a related field (minimum BS). A minimum of two years of laboratory experience is strongly preferred. Duties will include support of both academic teaching laboratories and research laboratories, and thus we are seeking experience in ordering chemicals and supplies, inventory management, waste disposal, and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment. Experience in medical lab and/or pharmacy compounding is also valued. Soft skills sought include organization, written and oral communication, professionalism, striking a balance between initiative and seeking guidance.
