The Business Analyst (BA) informs and enables change in the organizational context by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. The BA skillfully selects and utilizes best practice methodologies to understand the business objectives and needs of University business and academic partners, identifying current and desired future-state business processes. The BA then helps both the University partners and Butler IT collaboratively envision the future, and how systems and work need to change to support that future. This often requires creating, analyzing and validating detailed functional design specifications, facilitating design sessions with the implementation team to define solutions, and delivering elements of system design such as migration rules, business rules, wireframes or other detailed deliverables. The Senior BA does this through strong collaboration with business and academic partners and their Business Relationship Managers, as well as other IT resources such as Project Managers, developers, and technical support staff. The BA also drives the business analysis practice, mentors others, and balances the strategic vision of the Butler and Butler IT with their day-to-day operations. |
