Position Overview

This position assists University departments in optimizing scholarship management software. This includes financial aid and donor stewardship setup. The position serves as a bridge to communicate departmental specifications with the University IT data team for integration across multiple systems. This position serves as a functional super-user for Blackbaud Award Management (previously AcademicWorks) and upon full implementation supports ongoing scholarship setup, runs processes, communicates issues and manages reporting. Additional responsibilities will include supporting system needs and daily processes in the Office of Financial Aid.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient with Blackbaud Award Management software. Manage creation of data base, set up, testing, and runs the daily operations within the system. Responsible for quality control of system data
  • Inputs new scholarships into system with all appropriate coding to honor formal donor intentions. Responsible for audit of scholarship usage compliance.
  • Serve as liaison with departments to award scholarships. Set up policy and procedure manual and keep up with any changes. Set up awarding guidelines for departments to automate their awarding selections.
  • Run queries of system to inform key partners of what has been spent. Reporting to Financial Aid; Business Office and Advancement.  
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.  
  • 3-5 years experience in software support,  and 2-3 years of office and data entry experience
  • Demonstrates a high commitment to quality.
  • Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactively approaches responsibilities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain confidential information.
