Lecturers typically teach four courses per semester. The successful candidate will primarily teach classes in the university core curriculum that contribute to requirements in the First-Year Seminar and in Global and Historical Studies. There will also be an opportunity to teach 1-3 courses per year in one or more of the following programs in the SJCM: Journalism, Sports Media, Esports Communication, Music Industry Studies, and/or Creative Media and Entertainment. |

This full-time (12-month) faculty position anticipated start date is January 2024.
The candidate selected for this position will engage in teaching evidence based, up-to-date, asynchronous online courses within the DMS curriculum, mentoring doctoral student scholarly activities, and contributing to building an inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population. Faculty will assist in all aspects of the program including recruitment, assessment, and the development, delivery, and evaluation of the curriculum. The faculty will engage in scholarship and service activities consistent with the requirements of the Department of Medical Science and the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, as well as be involved actively with professional organizations at the state and national levels. Candidates who prefer to reside in locations remote to Indianapolis will be considered. |

Butler University Libraries invite applications for an Electronic Resources Librarian, a 12-month, non-tenured (continuing appointment) position with the rank of assistant professor, reporting to the Head of Resource and Systems Strategies. This position provides leadership for the acquisition, support and analysis of electronic resources at Butler University Libraries, including managing and prioritizing expenditures on subscriptions and purchases of electronic content, as well as managing discovery and mediation of content in other acquisition models. The librarian in this position communicates to and supports library faculty in their selection and use of electronic resources, troubleshoots user access problems, and provides guidance or training to students and faculty as necessary. This position also manages all required e-resource information and management systems, and has additional responsibilities for the management of print serial subscriptions. As a library faculty member, the Electronic Resources Librarian also has liaison responsibilities to provide library instruction, collection development, and research support for a selected college or department(s). |
