Butler University Sports Medicine seeks 5 Certified Intern Athletic Trainers for 2019-2020 academic year to provide comprehensive health care for student-athletes in its intercollegiate athletic programs. These positions are responsible for adherence to the university mission and to ensure that Butler University Sports Medicine policies and procedures are followed. 

The Certified Intern Athletic Trainers must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in athletic training and have taken the NATABOC exam by April 6, 2019 to be considered.  The candidates must be certified through NATABOC and licensed by the State of Indiana by August 1, 2019.

Each position will have a primary assignment that may require travel and assist with pre-season football coverage.  The assignments are as follows:

1.    Baseball/limited football coverage

2.    Softball/limited football coverage

3.    Women’s Lacrosse/limited football coverage

4.    Women’s Swimming/full football coverage

5.    Golf, Cheerleading and Dance/full football coverage

Additional responsibilities will include assisting in coverage of the Butler University Sports Medicine Center and other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. This position will pay an hourly wage based on a 29-hour workweek from August 1, 2019 through May 31, 2020 that could equal $10,000.
